“Please Donate Blood Today,” read a sign outside the Dunn Conference Suite on October 26 and 27, drawing in donors to the annual Honors Program and Honors Student Congress Blood Drive. This was Honors’ third year hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on campus.
From the welcome table just outside the suite to the snack area inside, the event was decorated to fit the Halloween theme. Jack-o-lantern baskets, eerie gravestones, and flickering candles caught the attention of the donors after they gave blood. The American Red Cross provided the water and treats and kept everyone hydrated and in good spirits during the event. Donors, HSC members, and Red Cross employees worked happily to make the blood drive a success. In total, 44 units were collected. The Honors Program and Honors Student Congress would like to thank those who donated and participated in this year’s blood drive. Also, don’t forget to have a Happy Halloween!
